*Shift is Chris Hoy a well recognized producer, DJ and live performer. He has released over 200 tracks and toured every continent. His trance sound ranges from powerful & melodic twilight full-on to twisted night psy-techno.
Chris is also gaining recognition for two new side projects – SiNTaX (Electro / Breaks) and W.O.L.F (Rock / Techno). There will be more news coming about these projects soon.
*Phyx is one of the consistent headline artists for Timecode Records – he is known for upfront dance music, powerful psychedelics, dark epic soundscapes and a ripping high-energy groove. Also one of the label managers of Timecode Records based in Cape Town.
*Tickets is a classical musician having studied flute and piano for seven years. His early musical influences include many different styles of rock, punk, trip hop and hip hop, which first opened his eyes to the huge spectrum of electronic music. This led to his taking an interest in breakbeat, which distilled into his love for psy-trance. He has released two albums to date, both on Timecode. He is also half of Brethren, which is a joint project with his brother Phyx.
*Distant Touch is Ashley MacLaughlin, a British born trance producer and DJ living in Cape Town. Ashley’s production and DJ style is a mixture of full-on melodic daytime through to full-on twisted, mind-bending night time psy trance. At the age of 17 he was playing trance in London clubs and small squat parties and started to write his own music in 2004 at the age of 19.
Since moving to South Africa in January 2009 he has performed both live sets and DJ sets at various parties including The Village and PsynOpticz as well as returning back home within that time to play at parties in his home country.
